Bugera Amps

Just looking for peoples experiences. I tried out a V22 in a Guitar Center the other day and after some time tweaking it i got some really great sounds. I'm kindof a sucker for 'cheap' tube amps (my main amp is a Blackheart Handsome Devil Combo).

I'm really curious to see if any if anyone has tried out this guy...

care to take a guess what amp its a model of?

It looks really intruiging

It is really only cosmetically a clone of a matchless. It's tube compliment isn't really based off of a dc 30 or anything.
That isn't to say that it sounds bad or anything, it could sound amazing (I haven't had a chance to play one yet), but just don't expect it to sound particularly like a DC30.

i don't either to be honest, but the few videos i've heard/seen on youtube seem pretty decent. Bugera puts out some pretty decent products. I'd still like to try one of these down the road sometime

My old guitar instructor plays a Bugera and can't stop raving about it. ( He'd toured for quite some time, including with Dennis Agajanian, if that helps. Let's just say: He's REALLY good). He plays that in favor of the Blues Deluxe we have at the church.

Yeah but there's older Bugera amps which were better made as well. Bar reliability issues the V22 seems a good amp. I'd love to give one a go sometime too but the reliability thing would be the stumbling block for me.

Then again I suppose all amps now (that aren't hand wired) seem to have that so I guess it's the luck of the draw.

exactly. I'd much rather spend less on an amp and go for luck of the draw (especially with a warrantly if it is crap) than sell my soul for a hand-wired amp.

Don't get me wrong, i'd LOVE to own some Dr. Z's and Bad Cat's someday, but for now, being a college student who's saving for a wedding after i graduate, i'll take what i can get
