Hrm, while I know myself and another forum member were one of the participants and "winners" of this old contest, I've only been able to request for the tickets once so far. =( Bwack never emails me back when I ask about them. (One time when I asked, there weren't any tickets at Willcall, but luckily (and completely random), my old sixsteps friend Carrie Allen was at that show and got me and my wife in).
Anyways, here's what I submitted as an explanation of what I did (It was one of the longer ones on the page):
Full Name: Randall Wong
Where I Live: Sunnyvale, California
How'd you do it?: (taken from post on the boards, and edited a little bit). So, in the liner notes of the last 2 nation-wide releases, they included hints as to "hidden tracks" that play the song "You Alone" (originally written by David Crowder and Jack Parker back in like 1996).
So, on the first cd "Can You Hear Us", we had a brief taste of this song, as it came in the form of the bridge and a final chorus, hidden after the song "Undignified". I wasn't quite sure why they put that in there on that CD, as they didn't really reference that there were hidden tracks.
Illuminate came around, and they told us about
www.davidcrowderband.com/youalone2. It housed a flash player that foretold of this hidden track being played with the hidden track off the previous album. You would press play on this flash player, then start up this player at a certain interval, which would play through the normal song until the chorus, which (dependent upon the speed of your computer), should flow right into the bridge+ending of the "Can You Hear Us" track. They gave an inkling that there may be an additional thing to do with the 3rd album, but we would have to wait and see.
Now came "A Collision". Most of us had probably forgotten about the whole "hidden track" thing, and it wasn't until we got our hands on the insert book that we realized there was going to be a contest for those who could properly put "something" together and send it in. The band pointed us to

Now, I had the CD about a week early, and nothing was on that page, so I was speculating, maybe it was something cryptic like /youalone#1 and they used anchors or something. I kept trying different spellings. =P Eventually, it went up at about 2:30PM PST on September 28th. After already recording the Illuminate and CYHU copies to form one piece, I realized there could only be one last solution to this puzzle. They were going to release a Reason type techo track to it! Lo and behold, the hour came, and there it was. A nice mp3 that included a very slow intro, that crescendos into the Illuminate piece, while still retaining a beat and some violins & synth over the whole song until the decrescendo after the bridge.
So, in putting it all together, the order goes:
"A Collision"'s hidden track (from mp3 online), then the "Illuminate" hidden track (from the flash player online, you have to record from your computer for this one), then the hidden track from "Can You Hear Us".
The easiest way I found to do this was to mix the Illuminate and CYHU ones first. There's no overlapping involved, you just need to paste the clip after the other one ends. It goes immediately after with no silence.
Once that part is done, I took the mp3 from A Collision, and found the part right before the long instrumental. It was right after the chorus (and before the bell like sounds). There's a part that sounds like a CD skipping, and it skips about 5 times. It's right after the skips that I mixed (as in, you're keeping both sources) the two tracks. I had to fool around with the area a little bit until the two matched with the beats.
