Hillsong United Concert

Went to Hillsong United last night and it was amazing. Some how my sister talked one of the usher ladies into letting us go to the front row. So we are sitting there in the front row for the second song and Joel Houston ask for people to come to the front of the stage. So me and my sister run up the front and are standing no less than five feet away from Joel and the rest of the band. Needless to say it was a pretty amazing concert. Took over 100 pictures probably and got some good ones. Might post them somewhere sometime.
Did anyone go to their conference in Florida?

I didn't but I took my youth group to forward 07 in georgia this summer, and I agree with you... absolutely breathtaking... you could just feel GOD as soon as they stepped on the stage... I had a great seat also, to the right of the stage about level with everyone on it with a great view of all the gear ;-)

ya they did not have the whole band. So a little less guitars and minus one keyboard player (Asian guy was there) but they still sounded tight and the drummer that was with them was really good. I was a little dissapointed that brooke fraser was not there, but the other girl that was there did a great job as well. I want to go to shoutfest in October someday.

Yeah, we're going to see them on the 20th in San Jose. They're holding a workshop beforehand, which I'm also really looking forward to. I'm just so excited to worship God in that environment. They're an extremely talented group of people, and I'm really looking forward to it. Glad you had a great time.

I know that one of their lead guitarists, Michael Guy Chislett, is touring with his other band right now, the Academy Is.... I was looking forward to seeing that White Falcon onstage.

The band they are currently touring with (Armor for Sleep) just lost a lot of gear in an accident... to my knowledge nobody was hurt though. You can see the video here. Brutal gear carnage.

Oh my stinkin goodness... the carnage was almost enough to make me cry, I would be so filled with rage if I was one of those band guys..
I wonder who didn't connect the trailer right... oooo

Those guys are touring with Hillsong United? Quite surprising since they had to bleep out a band members word at the end of the video... and they look quite hardcore rockerish, not very fitting with Hillsong.

Correct. Sorry, I just reread my post and I wasn't very clear that I meant the Academy is... instead of Hillsong United.
